My obsession continues in Italy!

A collaborative piece by me and Sarah Kindler from my failed attempt at watercolour.

Fred and Kelly at a fountain.
Sarah left me so I had no other choice but to draw the gang.

Classroom at the school
Fred Lynch, our professor for Journalist Drawing.

Owen Lynch, Henry Lynch and Kelly Murphy. Never be in my circle of vision.

Kerri, Val, Paulina and Sarah. Someone was having a boob fight and I don't remember who. I guess you can't remember a person by their chest.

Kelly Ann Murphy, our other professor for Journalistic Drawing. She is the most friend-like teacher I've ever encountered. She is not... the most organized, or Buddha-esque teacher, but when I see her, I have hopes that I can do what I love and still have a good life.

Laura, our boss of Italy (with a cross in my hand) and a few others. Fred and Owen always have the 'dude' distance between them when drawing. Sarah kindly fills in the distance.

Artist's talk -- Kelly Murphy. She wanted me to check her goosebumps at one point.

As all my friends know, I recognize a person by drawing them: that's how I expand my world. If I can't figure someone out, I draw them multiple times until I do. It's not whether the drawing is accurate - no one's going to know if that pore is in the right place. It's whether the drawing 'feels' like them -- I observe the aura from someone, not their jaw structure. It's a interesting way to see the world, I think.
Teachers are fun to draw because I can never get a full feeling of them. They know and experienced more than I can handle -- they're a few levels above me. I cannot see what they see... yet. And THAT makes them even more entertaining to draw because I can capture the humane side of them, and my drawings help me feel close to them. I almost feels like I can be that awesome in years to come.
